My
interest in acting stems back from childhood. Desires of walking out of a movie
theater, yearning to be that hero, stuck with me through early adulthood. A single
experience, I left the movie theater after seeing Far and Away, it dawned on me
I wanted to make movies, which would exude passion from both myself and the viewer.
I will live that experience through acting. Still in high school, I jumped into
drama class, on a pursuit to fulfill my newly realized passion. After high
school, simultaneously, I took that passion for acting to Stu Segal Productions
and community college. To gain experience and knowledge in the business I was
fortunate to complete an internship for Stu Segal Productions on the set of “Silk
Stalkings” during the 1996-1997 season. I took that opportunity to really discover
all of the aspects of life on-set. I say, “life” because we averaged 11-12 hour
days on set. I did some of everything while I was there, from locking the set,
assisting the sound man, correlating scripts, standing in for first team, wrangling
(1st and 2nd) teams to sitting behind the camera and accidentally hitting a button
which rolled a few seconds of film once (don’t tell Stu). And Stu, if your reading
this I’ve been setting some money aside each year to eventually reimburse you
for all of the excess craft service and catering I consumed beyond that of your
average stage hand in order to satisfy my voracious metabolism. At Palomar
College I extended my stay for 4 years, taking all of the acting classes I could
fit in my schedule. Michel Mufson coincidentally taught every acting class I took,
from intermediate acting to Shakespearean acting. From Palomar I made the short
hop up to Cal State San Marcos (CSUSM). At CSUSM I majored in Global Business
with a minor in French. I knew I wanted to act, however just in case life took
me in another direction I figured a business degree could open more avenues than
a theater arts degree. Although, here I am today on the same venture I realized
back in 1992, walking out of the theater from “Far and Away.” Acting classes
after Palomar had come to a halt. My passion to act continued. I enrolled with
Samuel Warren’s acting class in Downtown San Diego. In his weekly class we do
on-camera scene work as well as commercial, industrial and improvisational studies.
I followed up with training at Robert Wald’s Acting Studio. I have completed
several projects, with some samples available online. Please feel free to send
me a note and let me know your thoughts. I look forward to hearing from you.
